Former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, 35, has said he is finally ready to return to the Octagon, and has hinted that he would like to fight middleweight champion Michael Bisping. However, GSP appeared on Ariel Helwani’s The MMA Hour, and said he could make 155.
“If I wanted to, I could fight at lightweight as well. Easy. Easy,” said St-Pierre, as transcribed by Shaun Al-Shatti for MMA Fighting.
“I’m not a big welterweight,” said St-Pierre, who is 5′ 10″. “I walk around 187. I’m 186, 187 when I wake up in the morning, and I could easily make it [with] a diet, because a lot of lightweights are bigger than me. Welterweight, I don’t even talk about it because most of them are bigger than me, of course, and middleweight, they’re much bigger than me. But it’s not really about size. It’s about skills.”
