Grasso vs. Esquibel headlines Invicta 18 on July 29
A strawweight match-up between undefeated Alexa Grasso and Jodie Esquibel will headline Invicta FC 18 on Friday, July 29 in Kansas City, Missouri.
Rob Tatumreports that Invicta FC 18 will take place Friday, July 29 from the historic Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Mo. The event will stream live and exclusively on UFC Fight Pass.
A strawweight fight between undefeated Alexa Grasso and Jodie Esquibel will headline the event.
Grasso, 22, hails from Mexico, and is currently 7-0, including three straight in Invicta, over Mizuki Inoue, Alida Gray and Ashley Cummins. The New Mexico-based Esquibel, 30, is making her 115 debut, having formerly fought at 105. She is on a two fight win streak, over Jinh Yu Frey and NicdaliRivera-Calanoc.
In the co-main event, Grasso’s Lobo Gym teammate, former title challenger Irene Aldana fights undefeated Brazilian Taila Santos, who is making her league debut.
