There is another side to the highlight reel that only fighters, coaches, and teams ordinarily get to see. Just as a highlight finish makes we asses in seats scream “HOLY F@$%ING $#!^” the losing side ordinarily suffers, dramatically.

My ex Husband suffered a terrible injury this weekend at Bellator London.
Cyborg suffered a compound fracture to his skull. He has not had surgery yet and the doctors are not sure when he will be able to fly.
Cyborg is a veteran of over 50 fights. his first fight was in 1997. he is from a poor part of Brazil and he works very hard to provide a life for his family.
We do not know when he will be in surgery or when he will be able to fly. He is not going to be able to work for sometime. I have set up a Go Fund me to help him during this difficult time. The National Health Service in the UK does not charge, even for foreigners. The fighter will be returning to the USA in the next few days for surgery. Bellator MMA President Scott Coker says he will cover all of Cyborg’s medical expenses related to the injury in the cage, and they will be rewarding him with a bonus on his salary to help him get through this difficult time.
However, an injury of this nature has a vast number of further costs, including the fact that Santos will certainly not be back at work soon, so if you have the means to help, however modestly, it would be very gratefully appreciated.
