Glory 17’s Jarrell Miller: I’m too gorgeous for MMA

The vast majority of the top fighters in mixed martial arts transitioned from a different combat sport. However, Jarrell Miller who has a rematch with Mirko Cro Cop Filipovic at Glory 17 on Saturday night says emphatically that he has no plans to be one of them.
Cro Cop beat Jarrell in a K-1 event last year, his only loss to date. Big Baby” numbers Pat Barry and Jack May among his 21 wins in kickboxing. He is also 9-0-1 as a professional boxer. The New Yorker trains at Gleason’s Gym, Renzo Gracie’s, and Pin Point Muay Thai.
Miller was asked if he had considered a career in MMA?
I did before I signed with K-1 because boxing was slow at the time.” said Miller. “But at this point in my career, nope, definitely not. Just because the money those guys are getting and the injuries…. I’m young, I’m still undefeated in boxing, to me I’m undefeated in kickboxing and I’m gorgeous. After my career I want to do something with my life — maybe act. MMA guys can’t do that.
I’m not gonna be Dana White’s puppet. Hell no. I’ve worked too hard.
Kickboxing is paying probably three times more than what some of the guys you see on TV in MMA are making. That’s what I like about Glory, because that alone is gonna attract more fighters … They understand the brand they have, and they understand and respect the fighters. If you have no fighters, you have no brand to promote. You’ve got to take care of the fighters.
