Gina Carano’s ‘Haywire’ set for Jan 20 release

Gina Carano is one of the most watched fighter’s in US MMA history. And her popularity is about to skyrocket when she stars as a “black ops super-soldier seeking payback after she is betrayed and set up during a mission” in Steven Soderberg’s ‘Haywire’.

Carano, who has no acting background what so ever, appears with Antonio Banderas, Michael Douglas, Michael Fassbender, Ewan MacGregor, and Channing Tatum.

The film debut has been delayed several times; the currently announced release date is January 20, 2012.
