Gall: I think I’ll finish [CM Punk] in the first round
Gall recently spoke to Fox Sports about the matchup with CM Punk and although he expects a prepared opponents, believes he’ll finish the former pro wrestler in the first round.

Last week the UFC announced that former WWE champion CM Punk (real name Phil Brooks) will finally make his UFC debut at UFC 203 in Cleveland.
His opponent, Mickey Gall, earned the opportunity to be Punk’s first opponent after being discovered on Dana White’s YouTube series “Lookin’ for a Fight” and winning his UFC debut.
Gall recently spoke to Fox Sports about the matchup with CM Punk and although he expects a prepared opponents, believes he’ll finish the former pro wrestler in the first round:
“A lot of people are treating him like a joke but I’m going to look like a real (expletive) if I go out there thinking he’s a joke and get myself beat. I won’t let that happen.”
In fact, Gall is confident that he’ll dispatch Punk in very impressive fashion just like he did in his first fight in the UFC, which lasted a whopping 45 seconds.
Gall has actually spent less than five minutes of total time in the cage during his professional MMA career and he doesn’t expect to double that in his fight with Punk.
I think I’ll finish him in one round, but I’ll be prepared to go three hard rounds. I think I’ll be able to get him in one. That’s what I do, I get people in one. I plan to do some violence, some terrible things in the fight. I’m going to make it real ugly for him.
