The world league of mixed martial arts, Absolute Championship Akhmat, will host one of the most anticipated tournaments on Friday, August 11.

In Moscow, at ACA 161, six grand prix fights in various weight categories will take place at once.

ACA middleweight champion Magomedrasul Gasanov (18-2) will defend the title against former champion Salamu Abdurakhmanov (14-1). The winner of the fight will continue the semifinal path in the grand prix.

Given the nature of these athletes, the co-main fight promises to be as resonant as possible. Former AMC Fight Nights champion, a giant weighing 140 kilograms, Grigoriy Ponomarev (6-2) will make his promotion debut against former ACA champion Mukhamat Vakhaev (11-6-1). On August 11, the semifinalist of the ACA Grand Prix in the “royal” weight class will be determined in the Ponomarev-Vakhaev fight.

Russian fighter and former AMC Fight Nights champion Vartan Asatryan (25-9) will make his promotion debut on August 11 with a quarterfinal bout of the flyweight grand prix against the representative of Tajikistan, Azam Gaforov (14-3).

The fight between the former champion of Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s Eagle FC promotion, the representative of Tajikistan Faridun Odilov (16-2-2), and the Russian fighter Elkhan Musaev (10-1) will take place as part of the quarterfinals of the light heavyweight grand prix at ACA 161.

The former ACA bantamweight champion, Russian Magomed Bibulatov (19-3), will fight against the Georgian fighter Vazha Tsiptauri (13-4-1) as part of the quarterfinals of the bantamweight grand prix.

Despite the American sanctions, a fighter from the United States, the “abuser” of Alexander Shlemenko, Chris Honeycutt (14-5), continues to perform in the Russian organization. In the quarterfinal fight of the Middleweight Grand Prix, he will face the Russian fighter Abdul-Rahman Dzhanaev (17-3).
