Free Fight: Gustafsson vs. Cormier

Daniel Cormier will next fight Jon Jones at UFC 197 to determine the undisputed light heavyweight champion. Cormier is the current champ, but only won the title after it was vacated by Jones. Cormier will need to defeat Jones to prove in the eyes of fans that he is truly the best lightheavyweight fighter and undisputed champion.

After Jones was forced to vacate his title, Cormier fought Anthony Johnson for the vacant title, a fight he won by third round submission. Cormier next fought Sweden’s Alexander Gustafsson who proved to be his toughest opponent to date. Cormier won the fight by split decision:
