After winning the UFC heavyweight title in the first ever title fight on FOX, Junior Dos Santos was matched up with former champion Frank Mir in his first title defense.
Dos Santos had shocked fans and media when he knocked out champion Cain Velasquez quickly in the first round to capture the title and Mir was considered to be a serious challenge to his new title.
