Larry Pepe, Creator & Host of Pro MMA Radio, broke the news that Forrest Griffin was granted a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) for Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC), for his bout vs. Tito Ortiz at UFC 148.

NSAC’s Keith Kizer informed me that Forrest Griffin fought Tito Ortiz at UFC 148 with a therapeutic use exemption for TRT.
Both Forrest and Chael blood tested within normal limits for testosterone in pre-fight tests and a post-fight test on Sunday morning.
I think it is safe to say that Tito will not respond well, particularly in retirement fight.
Did not break any rules. Applied for TRT, satisfied commission needed
I believe that the negatives outweigh the positives of granting TUE’s for TRT at this point
Amazing that not taking TRT is becoming admirable!
Disproportionate % of MMA fighters w/ low T or the system is being gamed by some fighters. Hard to argue otherwise
Griffin now becomes the sixth fighter granted a TUE by the NSAC. The other five are Todd Duffee, Dan Henderson, Frank Mir, Shane Roller, and Chael Sonnen.
Griffin do not test positive for any Performance Enhancing or recreational Drugs.
As predicted, Tito Ortiz is upset about the news, as he was about the decision, and Joe Rogan.

Funny hearing the commentating @joerogan’s hand must of been sore from stroking Forrest during fight. Joe may need 2get glasses instead of hair plugs. Crazy how my quads aren’t sore from kicks. But my shins are from checking.
