Middleweight Ryan Ford lost by submission to Jake Shields at the last World Series of Fighting event in October. Ford revealed after the fight that he had broken his arm prior to the fight, but competed anyway and now that has got him in trouble with the Edmonton Commission:

The Edmonton Combative Sports Commission has suspended WSOF welterweight Ryan Ford for failing to disclose a broken arm he suffered prior to a losing effort against Jake Shields in WSOF 14’s main event.

ECSC Executive Director Pat Reid confirmed to MMAjunkie in an email that Ford is suspended six months and has 14 days to appeal the decision.

In a text message to MMAjunkie, Ford said his suspension is retroactive to the Oct. 11 event date and added that he will not contest his punishment.

What’s fair or not fair doesn’t really matter, he wrote. It is what it is. It’s funny cause guys go into fights always injured. They have said it after fights in interviews (that they suffered) broken hands, ribs, nose torn, knees. Do they get suspended? Maybe not a broken arm lol but that’s the difference that separates me from others.
