FMJ to Rousey: Call me when you can make $300,000,000 in 36 mins
Floyd Mayweather Jr. on Ronda Rousey: “I’ve yet to see any MMA fighter, or other boxer, make over $300 million in 36 minutes. When she can do that, then call me.”

UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey recently won the ESPY for Best Fighter, beating Floyd Mayweather Jr who had won it six times previously.
Rousey, in accepting the award, said she wondered how Mayweather felt about getting “beat by a woman for once.”
The boxer has been arrested multiple times for domestic abuse, and served time for it. Further, there has been endless speculation about how Rousey would do in a fight with Mayweather. And lastly, Mayweather had claimed not to know who Rousey was.
“I know for damn sure that he knew who I was, because he was running against me for Best Fighter that year and he has signed MMA fighters,” said Rousey earlier this Summer in explanation. “So his feigned ignorance was meant to be a snarky remark to me.”
The boxer appeared recently on ESPN’s Sports Center, and offered a concoction of both respect and snark.
“I’ve yet to see any MMA fighter, or other boxer, make over $300 million in 36 minutes,” said Mayweather. “When she can do that, then call me.”
“A while back I didn’t know who Ronda Rousey was, so I’m pretty sure she got upset. I want to say congratulations to Ronda Rousey and the UFC. You guys have done a tremendous job and I’ve won probably six or seven ESPYS for Fighter of the Year. And I truly believe she deserves it. Congratulations to Ronda Rousey.”
At the very least, FMJ knows who Rousey is now.
