Floyd Mayweather vs. CM Punk?
Joe Rogan: “My heart. Be still my heart. They might do that. Oh my god. My heart. My heart. I can’t take it. My heart is flying out of my chest.”

The UFC has a problem. They would make a large fortune putting Floyd Mayweather in the Octagon, but outside of maybe the women’s division, everyone would crush ‘Money’. And they would make another small fortune by putting CM Punk in the Octagon again, but there’s a similar issue.
So why not have them fight each other? UFC commentator Joe Rogan discussed the idea during a recent JRE MMA podcast.
If they do that I would … oh my god,” said Rogan, as transcribed by Phil Thompson for the Chicago Tribune. “My heart. Be still my heart. They might do that. Oh my god. My heart. My heart. I can’t take it. My heart is flying out of my chest. If I saw Floyd Mayweather across from CM Punk, I’d be like, ‘This is not real life!’
Dude, that’s the fight, right?
Floyd’s got a real chance. … Floyd Mayweather is the f***ing greatest boxer, maybe of all time.
CM Punk would have to figure out have to get the takedown, if they could agree to meet at 160.
There is an obvious event, too – UFC 225 on June 9, 2018, at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

The idea first surfaced in an interview with Floyd’s uncle Jeff. Mayweather is a top trainer, former world champion, and has worked with several MMA fighters including Roy Nelson.
I don’t know who that is, but we might actually whoop his ass first, said Jeff, as transcribed by Milan Ordoñez for BloodyElbow.com.
The biggest fight, of course, would be a rematch vs. Conor McGregor.
He has a chance because, first of all, he’s way faster than Conor, he’s way more elusive than Conor, and he punches harder than Conor, said the elder Mayweather. It’s about no f***ing shoulder roll. It’s about Floyd using his legs, being smart. If Floyd gets kicked or elbowed or gets kneed, anything like that, of course, the chances are he’s gonna lose.
If Floyd uses his legs – and I’m talking about to f***ing dance around, ain’t no f***ing running around. This is part of boxing, MMA fighters do it too. But they can’t do it as well as him, and that’s the difference.
As long as he does that, he gives himself a chance. He gives himself a chance because he keeps it within striking distance. But if Floyd gets taken down, the fight’s gonna be over.
