Fighters make Pettis vs. Melendez picks, what’s yours?
“A little thing, too, any athlete that claps for themselves, hits their banner, they usually lose. Look for those little things. That’s a little MMA analysis, from me.”

MMAJunkie asked a selection of the fighters in attendance who they like in tonight’s co main event between UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis and challenger Gil Melendez.
Urijah Faber: Pettis, with some kind of striking attack… But never count out Gil, the guy is as tough as they come.”
Francisco Rivera: “I’m going to go with Gilbert on this one.”
Todd Duffee: “I’m going to go with Gil.”
Johny Hendricks: “Anthony Pettis. He always finds a way to win. You think he can’t do something, and he does it… You don’t know what to expect, so it’s hard to train for. I think that’s going to throw Melndez off.”
Tony Ferguson: “I like Melendez… Pettis will be flying around, doing the monster things – you know, keeping up a little bit with what he’s got going on. A lot of busy work. Tell you what, they can take a lot off a fighter. Watch his eyes when he goes inside the cage. A little thing, too, hey any athlete that claps for themselves, hits their banner, they usually lose. Look for those little things. That’s a little MMA analysis, from me.”
So the fighters interviewed are bucking the odds. Who do you think wins, in what round, and does the winner get a Performance Bonus?
