Ferguson injured, Evans vs. Teixeira now main event for UFC on FOX

Today April’s UFC on FOX event suffered the loss of it’s main event when it was revealed Tony Ferguson is injured and unable to fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov: 

It was announced Tuesday that lightweight contender Tony Ferguson’s April 16 fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov at Amalie Arena in Tampa will have to wait, as Ferguson suffered an injury that forced him to withdraw from the bout.

Moving into the UFC on FOX main event will be the light heavyweight showdown between Rashad Evans and Glover Teixeira.

UFC officials are still discussing whether Nurmagomedov will remain on the card. Stay tuned to UFC.com for any further updates to the fight card.
