Fedor Emelianenko, the greatest heavyweight in MMA history, spoke with the Russian language UnionMMA ahead of his fight with Jaideep SIngh in the co-main event of RIZIN on New Years Eve.
“I think he is quite a serious contender,” said Fedor as transcribed by Karim Zidan for BE. “Under the rules of K-1, he defeated Sergei Kharitonov. He is tall and heavy.”
“Compared with what it was like three years ago, I recovered from all injuries. I was able to receive medical treatment for injuries that bothered me. You can decide after my fight [if I am better now].”
“I think that you will not be disappointed.”
Beyond that, Fedor declined to say how the fight would go.
“I do not make predictions. I will act according to the situation.”
