Fedor vs. Ishii promo and poster

On New Year’s Eve, Fedor Emelianenko is scheduled to compete against former Judo Olympian Satoshi Ishii for Dream. The bout will be the second in six weeks for the Russian heavyweight, who had previously dropped three in a row under the Strikeforce banner.

Emelianenko recently defeated American wrestler Jeff Monson, at an M-1 event in Russia. Fedor won a decision, but broke Monson’s femur in the process. Ishii is only 4-1 in mixed martial arts and most recently fought former WEC champion Paulo Filho to a draw in a September bout in Brazil.
