Luiz Alvez, Rodrigo Minotauro’s Muay Thay Coach and one of the greatest coaches in Brazil, has died in Rio de Janeiro. On January 26, the Grand Master had a car accident in Rio de Janeiro and was hospitalzied with a brain vascular accident (AVC). The black belt was hospitalized for two months in Santa Teresinha Hospital in Tijuca. A few days ago showed signs of improvement, coming out of an induced coma.
The death of Luiz Alves took the family and the world of fighting by surprise. Leader and founder of Boxe Thai Academy and Brazilian Confederation of MuayThai, the black belt was one of the pioneers of MuayThai in Brazil. The causes of death has not been revealed and the family will reveal soon the details of the funeral.
