Faber, Barao get opponents
Urijah Faber has verbally agreed to fight Francisco “Cisco” Rivera at UFC 181, and Renan Barao will fight Mitch Gagnon in the co-main event at UFC 58.
The UFC just announced a stellar addition to UFC 181. The Dec 6 show already features not one but two world title fights, in Johny Hendricks vs. Robbie Lawler and Anthony Pettis vs. Gilbert Melendez. Now Urijah Faber has verbally agreed to fight Francisco Cisco Rivera.
Rivera is coming off a loss to Takeya Mizugaki in May, but earned a knockout in both fights before that in 2013.
The UFC also announced that former UFC bantamweight champion Renan Barao will be fighting Mitch Gagnon in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 58 on Dec 20 in Barueri, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Barao is coming off a rematch with division champion T.J. Dillashaw that was canceled at the last moment when Barao had medical issues while cutting weight. Gagnon, ranked #15 in the division, is on a four-fight wins streak.
