Evinger: I just like to disappoint the UFC

The “he” in question is the UFC’s Sean Shelby, who does matchmaking for the men’s 145 pound division and down, and the women’s divisions. Shelby does not comment on media stories, and might have a different recollection of the conversation. But whatever transpired, Evinger has been on a tear since. Before the comment she was 3-3, but has now won her last six, four of them inside the distance.
The dude’s scrawny himself, said Evinger. If I ever ran into him at a jiu-jitsu gym, I’m going to wad him up.
Evinger fight Irene Aldana on Thursday at Invicta FC 13 for the vacant Invicta bantamweight title, live on UFC Fight Pass. Cris Cyborg fights Faith Van Duin in the main event.
