One-time title challenger Chael Sonnen (25-11-1 MMA, 4-3 UFC) isn’t the only one lamenting today’s California State Athletic Commission ruling.
British slugger Michael Bisping (21-3 MMA, 11-3 UFC) says he’s also disappointed in the CSAC’s decision to uphold Sonnen’s indefinite suspension from competition.
Just moments after the CSAC made their decision, Bisping took to Twitter to express his lament.
“Gutted for Chael Sonnen; people make mistakes,” Bisping stated. “He paid his dues and should be allowed to continue with his career. Real shame for the guy.”
Sonnen appeared before the CSAC on Wednesday to address his recent conviction of federal money-laundering, as well as his questionable testimony following a positive post-UFC 117 drug screen.
