Ronda Rousey was the inaugural women’s bantamweight champion. Carla Esparza was the inaugural women’s strawweight champion. Both fighters lost their title in 2015. Both have a fight coming up.

But Rousey is rich, and Esparza can barely pay her bills. The hardcore fanbase immediately cites the $1,000 sundae she shared with Felice Herrig, after winning the title. Esparza, 29, is the #3 ranked contender in her division. Signs point to her having a fight, but nothing has been announced.
