EFC Worldwide launches a women’s division
Flyweight Hungarian Zita Varju and South African Danella Eliasov, a psychiatrist, will meet in the first EFC Worldwide women’s mixed martial arts fight.

The South Africa based EFC Worldwide is one of the world’s fastest growing companies in the world’s fastest growing sport. And the growth is about to accelerate, as the promotion has opened its doors to the top WMMA fighters from around the world.
Hungarian Zita Varju and South African Danella Eliasov will meet in the debut EFC WMMA fight on 21 Feb. The bout will be contested in the flyweight division.
Varju fights out of Dudas gym in Budapest and has an extensive kickboxing history. Eliasov, a psychiatrist by day, is one of the most highly experienced female amateur MMA athletes in South Africa, and will be making her professional debut in February.
Finally, the woman are ready to take center stage, said EFC president Cairo Howarth. We have been seeing huge growth in the female division around the world and we can expect to see the very same explosive fights within EFC. This inaugural women’s bout is a really exciting addition to an already massive EFC fight card featuring two highly anticipated title fights.
