Edgar’s coach responds to Aldo spy story
Frankie Edgar’s head coach reacts to Jose Aldo spy story

The hardcore fanbase was baffled by something when former division champion Jose Aldo and former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar fought for the interim featherweight championship at UFC 200. Aldo, one of the most ferocious kickers in the sport’s history, wasn’t throwing any kicks.
Aldo recently revealed why – he had a spy in Edgar’s training room, and the spy said Frankie was working on takedowns vs. kicks, so the Brazilian neatly countered the counter by not kicking at all.
Edgar’s head coach Mark Henry recently spoke with Ariel Helwani for MMA Fighting, and reacted to the news.
“I don’t care,” said Henry. “I couldn’t care less. I think we should have been able to adjust anyway.
“I believe I should have adjusted no matter what he did. I should have been smart enough to adjust. Right after the fight was over, there were 20 things I thought about that I should have adjusted.”
“I still haven’t seen it. I won’t watch it unless Frankie fights him again. I just messed up. I failed Frankie. That is my honest opinion.”
If Henry does watch, this is the highlights of what he’ll see.
