Adam Hill of the Las Vegas Review Journal is reporting that Vegas native Robert Drysdale, 32, is out his UFC debut vs. Ednaldo Oliveira at UFC 163 on Aug. 3 in Rio de Janeiro.

The reason for the withdrawal is reportedly a staph infection.

Drysdale is a highly decorated grappler, having won gold at the 2005 Mundials in 2005, and at the ADCC submission wrestling world championships.

Drysdale switched to MMA in 2008, and is now 6-0 as a pro, with all wins via submission in the first round.

Tatame is reporting that Francimar Bodao Barroso will step in vs. Oliveira.
