My name is Douglas Crosby. I was one of the Judges for your fight this past Saturday.

Here is how I scored it, and why.

I believe you were narrowly outfought (in a rather sloppy, lackluster fashion) in Rounds 1 and 2. You may not agree. That’s fine.

Therefore Rounds 1 & 2 I scored 10-9 Tuchscherer.

In round 3, you did as much in 5 minutes as Tuchscherer did in the previous 10, and in a more dynamic fashion.

So I scored that round 10-8 for you.

My score for the fight was therefore 28-28, a draw..

I think that was a fair and accurate score for your fight.

I understand how hard you, and most, of the fighters work, and how important your records are, and I take my position as a Judge, and its attendant responsibilities, very seriously.

I did not think it fair that you fought the way you did, particularly (very particularly) in the 3rd round, and LOSE.

I also don’t think you can lose 2 very lackluster rounds in a fight and WIN.

My scoring reflected my best attempt to Judge your fight fairly and accurately. Your efforts as a fighter deserve that; and this post hopefully will give you an idea as to how I came to my conclusions.

Yours in respect,

Douglas Crosby/MMA Judge NYC
