dos Anjos: People will have to kill me for belt
The performance was impressive, but they say the true test of a champion is defending the title and Rafael Dos Anjos believes someone will have to kill him to take the belt.

Rafael Dos Anjos won the UFC lightweight title by defeating long-time champion Anthony Pettis at UFC 185. The performance was impressive, but they say the true test of a champion is defending the title and Dos Anjos believes someone will have to kill him to take the belt:
Man, it wasn’t easy to get my belt, and it will not be easy to take it away from me, dos Anjos told MMAjunkie. People are going to have to kill me in the octagon to take this belt away.
Dos Anjos is currently in Mexico City, where he’ll attend Saturday’s UFC 188 event. He’s also healing up a surgically repaired knee, which he believes will prevent him from fighting again until the end of the year.
When he does come back, dos Anjos (24-7 MMA, 13-5 UFC) will face a dangerous opponent in top contender Donald Cerrone (28-6 MMA, 15-3 UFC). The champ downed Cowboy in an August 2013 affair, but that doesn’t mean he’s taking the challenge lightly.
Cerrone is a great, great opponent, dos Anjos said. Tough guy. We’ve both been improving a lot since the last fight. I think it’s going to be an interesting, great matchup for the fans, but I will make sure I will keep my belt. I’m going to make sure I do a perfect fight camp.
