The former UFC tournament champion and veteran MMA fighter told The Rumble last week that he can’t wait for legends Mark Coleman and Randy Couture to get their scrap on at UFC 109, and didn’t mince words when it came to voicing his opinion about the current state of the sport.

“You don’t come (to fighting) to quote movies or thank your sponsors,” Frye said. “You don’t come to have your fingernails or your toenails painted. Goddamn, you come to fight, not to be a fairy. Fight, that’s what these two old boys are going to do.”

“This might be the first UFC I buy and actually watch in about 10 years, you know?” Frye said. “These two guys, it’s going to be one hell of a barnburner. They’re going to show these new guys how to fight.”

Frye fought Coleman twice during a professional career that has thus far spanned 13 years. The pair first met at UFC X in July of 1997, in what was Coleman’s first MMA event. They fought again at Pride 26 in 2003. Coleman won both battles.
