TJ Dillashaw has only defend his bantamweight championship once, but that doesn’t mean he’s not chomping at the bit for a fight with Jose Aldo, the featherweight champion.
The UFC bantamweight champion, who is expected to put his title on the line against former titleholder Dominick Cruz in 2015, told Team Alpha Male Radio he wants a shot at UFC featherweight kingpin Jose Aldo.
“I wanna fight Aldo so bad, dude,” Dillashaw said. “I will beat Aldo. I wanna fight him.
“I respect him, he’s an awesome fighter.”
Dillashaw will likely need to defend his title more than once before a super fight with Aldo would be setup, but the desire to fight Aldo is likely driven by the fact that his teammates have lost to the champion three times.
