Dillashaw: Barao shouldn’t receive instant rematch
TJ Dillashaw: “I have no problem fighting him again, but I feel like he shouldn’t be getting an instant rematch the way he [Renan Barao] lost.”
TJ Dillashaw shocked the MMA world when he dominated champion Renan Barao to take the UFC bantamweight title. After the event, UFC President Dana White said an immediate rematch is possible for Barao, but Dillashaw disagrees and he believes that Barao should have to earn the rematch:
I have no problem fighting him again, but I feel like he shouldn’t be getting an instant rematch the way he lost, Dillashaw today told MMAjunkie Radio. It would be different if maybe I’d have finished him in the first round with that choke and maybe people thought it was a fluke. But I beat him up for five rounds. I took it to him, and he had nothing for it.
