Seth Petruzelli will get a chance to redeem himself.

“The Silverback” today told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that he is not one-and-done with the UFC after a disappointing, yet electrifying, octagon return at UFC 116 earlier this month.

“[The UFC] was happy with (my) performance and asked when I’d like to fight again,” Petruzelli wrote via text message.

“I guess I just punched myself out,” Petruzelli said after the fight. “I just got lazy on the bottom for 10 seconds and got caught. I could have got out of that submission. I was just tired.”

“Honestly, I don’t think I belong in the UFC until I win a fight,” Petruzelli told MMAjunkie.com following the Romero loss. “Obviously, it was a good showing, but I feel I’ve let everyone down. I don’t think I belong until I win a damn fight in the UFC.

“That’s all I want to do is win a fight, and I think I should have won that. I know I can hang with anybody, man. I just need to go out there and do it one time.”
