Sometimes life throws unexpected things our way. Accidental headbutt did just that two weeks before my fight with @kingMofh this cut is deep and bad. This cut is taking me out of the fight with Mo. As soon as it’s touched in the fight it will bust open. I know so many of you wanted to see this so I apologize, and I felt so great, as we know injuries happen in MMA and we fighters take the worst of it. Regarding Mo, we already spoke and he’s one of the most respectful guys I’ve talked too. We already spoke of training together when I’m healed. As far as MMA is concerned I’ll never say never, but I can say right now I’m focusing on competing Jiu-Jitsu and improving my Academy. I have no plans to fight right now. Thank you to my manager Danny Liguori for everything and Bellator for being so awesome, you may see me back in there one day. But for now let’s win some more Jiu-Jitsu title. The night will also feature one of the biggest grudge matches in the sport as MMA icons clash when Tito “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” Ortiz returns to the Bellator cage to face “The American Psycho” Stephan Bonnar in a light heavyweight affair, while Will Brooks and Michael Chandler will battle for the vacant Bellator Lightweight Title.

Hopefully DeBlass recovers quickly, and continues to meet his goals in the sport, whatever they may be.

DeBlass will be replaced with Joe Vedepo, who is on a three-fight win streak, but will be moving up a division for the fight.

This is just an absolutely blessing, said Vedepo. When I got the phone call to fight on November 15, I didn’t even need to hear who the opponent was, I was all in. Mo’s tough as hell, he’s one of the best wrestlers in the sport, but I haven’t stopped training in months and I know this is a chance of a lifetime. I always thrive on coming into the fight as an underdog, and while I have all the respect in the world for a guy like King Mo, underestimating what I bring to the cage would be a huge mistake.
