American grappling star Danielle Kelly has had one focus since her last ONE Championship appearance in February: her old foe Jessa Khan.
Kelly will welcome the Cambodian-American star to the world’s largest martial arts organization when they battle for the inaugural ONE women’s atomweight submission grappling world title at “ONE Fight Night 14: Stamp vs. Ham” at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on September 29.
It’s not all that surprising that the Philadelphia native will compete for the newly minted belt, as she has amassed a dominant undefeated streak in ONE since she joined in 2022.
Her most recent appearance was a gritty decision victory over former world title challenger Ayaka Miura at ONE Fight Night 7, which followed a stunning submission win over former sambo world champion Mariia Molchanova last year.
Taking to Instagram, Kelly revealed that a showdown with Khan has been the only thing on her mind since she last competed.

“I’ve been prepping for Jessa since my last match back in February. I’ve taken no vacations nor anything fun. Got up and straight to work. It’s a lonely journey for sure but I’m coming for what’s mine,” she posted.
As she gets ready to step onto ONE’s global stage, Khan will be buoyed by the fact that she defeated Kelly at a regional tournament in 2021. And her confidence will be at an all-time high thanks to the success he found at the 2023 IBJJF World Championships.
The 21-year-old phenom took to Instagram recently to break down her preparation and express excitement for her ONE debut at ONE Fight Night 14.

“7 weeks ’til my match on ONE @onechampionship. I’ve been training only no gi since worlds and I am feeling better than ever for this event. I can’t wait!” Khan wrote.
