“When you come over here, it’s a whole other ball game, man. You don’t run this show. I do. I’m going to make decisions sometimes that make the fans not too happy and piss people off here and there. But if you’re going to run your business, you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do.”
White may be stepping outside his comfort zone, as one reporter suggested during the impromptu Q&A session. But he doesn’t see it that way. He’s handling his business, even if he’s doing things he might never do during the course of regular business.
He can only hope his approach pays off, and Diaz shows to do the job he’s been contracted to do in its entirety. If that happens, White is more than happy to give out a title shot.
“I believe, and maybe I’m a little goofy here, I have a rapport with this kid, and that he and I can work together,” White said.
