On Tuesday, White confirmed with 5thRound.com that when Hendo signed on to headline UFC 139 opposite Mauricio Shogun Rua, he entered into an exclusive agreement with the UFC. Therefore, Henderson’s departure means another Strikeforce crown has been abandoned.
When asked what will happen to Strikeforce’s now-vacant 205-pound strap, White wasn’t able to provide an answer.
