Dana White to crazy Russians: ‘Hell no’

Rumors floated that M-1 Global was interested in pitting Cain Velasquez against Fedor Emelianenko in a co-promotion in Russia.

M-1 Global head Vadim Finkelstein cofirmed.

“I’m not conducting such negotiations but it’s a good idea. I’m definitely going to contact Dana White about this fight. I’m ready to discuss making several fights for Fedor in USA and Russia. I think that for such a significant fight we can gather an arena of 45,000 people. We can do this. Fedor is incredibly popular in Russia and Europe. UFC tried to gather such an arena many times but they didn’t have more than 13,000 viewers. We can make a quality and great looking show. We just proved it.”

UFC President Dana F. White was reached on twitter and questioned directly about the possibilty:
