Dana White to Anonymous: I am the f—— king of free speech

The UFC recently came out publicly in support of the SOPA. The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) was a bill to greatly expand the ability of U.S. law enforcement to fight online trafficking in copyrighted intellectual property.

Upset at the UFC’s stance, hackers caused a redirect of the UFC.com to a protest site.

The hackers are part of “Anonymous” – a reference to a decentralized online community acting anonymously in a coordinated manner, usually toward a loosely self-agreed goal, in this case preventing SOPA.

In an extended exchange on Twitter, UFC President Dana White and various Anonymous sympathisers engaged in an extended debate, or sorts. White, who has spoken at the Oxford Debating Society but is infamous for his colorful language, and a representative of Anonymous were by and large admirably cordial.
