The sport of mixed martial arts and the UFC are at a very interesting moment in their developmental history. Some might call it a tipping point. MMA is arguably the fasting growing sport in the world, and, with a recent seven-year deal inked between the Fox network and the UFC, is poised to become a key element of mainstream athletic culture around the world. Both the face and the heart of the multi-billion-dollar empire is UFC President Dana White.

As he gears up for two major UFC events in April — UFC on Fuel TV 2 and UFC 145: Jones vs. Evans — White found some time to sit down and rap with StudioMMA’s Marcus Kowal. The two discussed a wide range of topics, and White offered some very intriguing commentary that provides fresh insight into the sport, the company, and the mind of the man behind it all.
