On May 18 Chael Sonnen was shelved by the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) for fabricating testimony in a previous hearing that in turn was investigating his failed drug test at UFC 117, and his pleading guilty to money laundering in Oregon. The suspension, initially thought to be a year in length and potentially careert ending, was lifted June 29, making him currently eligible to reapply for a fighter’s license.
