Rumors have circulated for several weeks about Brock Lesnar’s potentially career ending health issues, most notably complications from a relapse of diverticulitis that led to a highly invasive and potentially life-altering surgery on May 27, in which doctors removed 12 inches of his large intestine.
Today, during the UFC on FOX conference call, UFC President Dana White put those rumors to bed. Nothing has changed since White reported that the surgery was a success, and that Lesnar would be back with the UFC, and maybe back in action, by Jan. 2012.
“That’s ridiculous,” White said definitively. “It’s so far from the truth it’s not even funny. The guy’s been working up on a farm up in Canada all summer. He’s 100-percent. His surgery went great, he’s 100-percent, he’s getting back into training in the next couple of weeks.”
