UFC Owner/Chairman Lorenzo Fertitta and UFC President Dana White were named #41 among the 50 Most Influential People in Sports Business; the list was released this week by the Sports Business Journal and Sports Business Daily. This was the duos first appearance on the list.

In the last decade, the Las Vegas billionaire and his bombastic front man have taken the UFC from outlawed to in thing. A move to the Fox family of networks, coupled with expansion into South America and Asia, made 2011 a watershed year.
Further, three members of the Fox Sports Media Group came in at number five, with the UFC deal receiving prominent placement.

Fox’s year started out with the most-watched television show ever: Super Bowl XLV, which had 111 million viewers. And things got better from there.
