Daley: People in Kos’s hometown think he’s a d*** too
Paul Daley: “This guy is a d***. I went to his hometown, and the people in his hometown think he’s a d***. So he’s the same in front of the camera and off the camera.”
Bellator welterweight Paul Daley recently squared off with Josh Koscheck for the first time in many years, ahead of their rematch at Bellator 158 on July 16 at The O2 in London. The first fight at UFC 113 ended with a unanimous decision for Kos; a frustrated Daley threw a sucker punch after the final bell, and was released by the UFC for it.
Daley is now on a five-fight win streak. Koscheck is on a five-fight losing streak, albeit against far tougher competition. Daley got into Koscheck’s face some during the faceoff, and the pair were kept apart byBellator President Scott Coker and light heavyweight champion Liam McGeary.
“It was good,” said Daley afterwards. “I promised to keep my emotions in check, but I had to let them out just a little bit, to show him this is real. And on July 16, he’s going to be on the defensive. And he’s facing someone that really, really wants to hurt him. And that’s what I want to do.”
His comebacks were weak. I’ve seen through everything that he had to say. He knows. I can see he knows he’s probably bitten off more than he can chew.
“The reason I don’t like Josh Koscheck is he’s very fake… This guy is a dick. I went to his hometown, and the people in his hometown think he’s a dick. So he’s the same in front of the camera and off the camera. And that’s what I don’t like.
“He’s just not a nice dude.”
