Welterweight Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley unceremoniously exited the UFC after an after-the-bell shot at Josh Koscheck. When both fighters signed with Bellator, a rematch was made for Bellator 158, but Kos ended up out with an injury.

‘Semtex’ is now 33 years old, and has had 54 MMA fights since he turned pro in 2003, plus 24 kickboxing bouts. He says he’s no longer interested in a rematch with the man he famously dubbed ‘Fraggle’ following a contest on the UG.

I think he’s past that – I think Koscheck is past it, said Daley to MMAjunkie. It’s quiet on the Koscheck front, and I’m not interested in calling him out or anything. I just don’t think the guy’s head is in the game. He’s quiet, and I think he’s a guy that’s going to stay there. More power to him. If you’re not really feeling it, then it’s dangerous to accept such a fight against me.

I’m past that fight. There are many more interesting fights out there for me.

The fight he wants is new Bellator signee, Rory MacDonald.

Definitely it’s a fight that interests me, said Daley. I would love to test my skills against a guy that’s challenged for the UFC title. It would be a great fight. He’s the new prodigy after B.J. Penn. It would be great because he has a name, and it would be good to test my skills against him. We’ll see what happens. I think he will probably go straight for the title. We’ll see. If the fight is offered, I’ll take that.

I just want to stay active, and it’s one of the things I’ve loved to do in my career. There are a lot of opportunities to stay active with Bellator and stay in the cage fighting.

However, Daley is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Douglas Lima Decision at Bellator 158 in July. A win would have led to a possible title shot with promotion champion Andrey Koreshkov. To get a big fight, Daley needs to get past Derek Anderson, on the main card of Bellator 163 on Friday at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.

Bellator light heavyweight champion Liam McGeary fights Phil Davis in the main event.
