The Texas-based Shark Fights promotion has added further starpower to its already loaded Sept. 11 card.
The organization announced Monday that former EliteXC and UFC fighter Paul Daley (24-9-2) has signed a one-fight deal and is slated to compete at Shark Fights 13.
Daley’s opponent will be announced in the coming weeks, according to officials.
Sharks Fights 13 takes place at the Amarillo Civic Center in Amarillo, Texas.
“Words cannot express how elated we are that Paul Daley has agreed to fight for our organization,” Shark Fights president Brent Medley stated. “Daley is arguably one of the best 170-pound fighters in the world.
“We are currently in the process of choosing Daley’s opponent. Several marquee fighters are being considered, and a decision will be made very soon. This is shaping up to be an incredible card. Numerous A-list fighters have been confirmed for the Shark Fights 13 roster.”
