For years media and fans had fantasized about a potential matchup between Ronda Rousey and Cris Cyborg. The only point of contention was weight class. Rousey refused to fight any higher than the UFC bantamweight limit and Cyborg was adamant she could not fight any lower than 140 lbs.

Cyborg is naturally a big, muscular women and competed her entire career at featherweight or higher. The fight lost a bit of it’s luster when Rousey lost to Holly Holm and subsequently has taken almost a year off from the sport.

Cyborg was given the chance to fight in the Octagon, but at one hundred and forty pounds, a fight versus Leslie Smith which she won by first round TKO.

In this recently released trailer for an upcoming documentary, you can watch the brutal weight cut Cyborg had to even make that weight and it even had her in tears:

Captured on the lead-up to her inaugural octagon outing against Leslie Smith, the images show a visibly distraught Cyborg in tears, surrounded by her team as she tries to shed the extra pounds.

The images also show the fighter eventually making the weight and celebrating her TKO win over Smith
