Speaking at Wednesday’s Strikeforce: “Rousey vs. Kaufman” conference call, Scott Coker, CEO of the San Jose based promotion was asked if a potential showdown with Santos was next for the winner of Kaufman vs. Rousey and revealed that officials have been in contact with “Cyborg” about making a potential move down to bantamweight once her suspension is over in December.

“Right now, Ronda and Sarah, they have a tough test next week in San Diego and Cyborg is out until the middle of December. We’ll have to talk to her at that time and see what her interest is as far as going down in weight. I know [Strikeforce matchmaker Sean Shelby] has started talking to Cyborg of fighting at 135, so there’s dialog, but nothing is confirmed. We’ll have to wait until after she gets off suspension to have a serious conversation with her.”
