Sergio Non: On your Twitter feed, you made some cryptic comments about betrayal and relationships, and feelings you were having. What was that referring to?
Tito Ortiz: Me and Jenna had a loss in our family. Larry Massoli, her father, passed away two-and-a-half weeks ago.
I’m a very emotional guy, man. I’m up here in Big Bear alone. There were a lot of things said, and I think I let my emotions hang out a little too much, and I probably shouldn’t do that, but we were just going through a lot. I think the hard times of losing her father just got the best of me.
Times like this are hard right before a fight. Like I said, I’m a very emotional guy and to lose a father like that, it just hurt a lot. There were some things said between both of us. We kissed and made up, but it was just one of those things.
Relationships are a battle and you’ve got to battle for things.
I say some things out of hostility and hard emotions. I think it was a little more than that. He was someone that we loved very much. Some things were said between us and I didn’t believe it, and I had to be shown the proof.
SN: So the two of you have completely mended fences?
TO: Yeah, 100%. We had long conversations. We sat down with the family and went back and forth. Things are back to normal now.
Things are good. Things like this, challenges, every relationship, it just makes it stronger.
Our family is what matters. We’ve got two beautiful boys. We want to give them everything that we never had as children. I speak for both of us, me and Jenna, just because of the way we were brought up as kids.
