Cris Cyborg training with Cuban Judo Olympian
Perhaos with an eye to fighting Ronda Rousey, Cris Cyborg reports she honored to be working with Cuban Olympic medalist and coach Israel Hernandez.
BJJ great Carlos Machado famously said “The ground is my ocean, I’m the shark, and most people don’t even know how to swim.”
There is a parallel in stand up. When Ronda Rousey grabs her opponents characteristically look like they don’t even know no gi Judo grips. Rousey is of course a 2008 Olympic bronze medalist in Judo. Anaysi Hernández of Cuba took silver that year.
Cris Cyborg appears determined to right that error and is training with a two-time Olympic bronze medalist.
