Newer MMA fans may forget onetime UFC lightweight title challenger Donald Cerrone was once known for having a great triangle choke. But in a welterweight bout against Alex Oliveira, they were quickly reminded.
When Oliveira (14-3-1 MMA, 3-2 UFC) landed a three-punch combo, Cerrone (29-7 MMA, 16-4 UFC) took the fight down and quickly advanced to mount, where he set up a picture-perfect submission in the first round.
Thirtieth walk – how crazy is that, said Cerrone, who notched his 16th win in the UFC in his 20th performance with the promotion.
