Cowboy agrees to cut dangerous activities, on fight week
Donald Cerrone: “[Dana White] was pretty adamant tonight about not – he’s just just like ‘fight week cut back’. And I can agree with that. For sure. Sure. Yah.”

The UG Blog’s Jonathan Shrager caught up with Donald Cerrone shortly after his win over Eddie Alavarez at UFC 178, and asked if there was any chance “Cowboy” could temper his desire for adrenaline raising activities.
Cerrone is renowned for engaging in exciting sports that violate the dangerous activities stipulations in his UFC contract. The cowboy hat is not an affectation. Fighters named Pitbull are not actually pitbulls, but “Cowboy” Cerrone really is a cowboy on his own ranch.
“They say you can’t snowboard, wakeboard, bungee jump …all kinds of ridiculous things,” said Cerrone to Tracy Lee in 2012. “Horseback riding. I own horses and I will not NOT ride them, so I dunno, I guess I’ll have to sit down with Dana and figure this out. That’s who I am, I’m just wild and crazy. And I need to have these things to keep me …”
However, he told Shrager that he is willing to compromise.
“[Dana White] was pretty adamant tonight about not – he’s just just like ‘fight week cut back’. And I can agree with that. For sure. Sure. Yah.”
Cerrone also said he wants a fight in November. If it happened on or before Nov 15, that would make six fights in a one-year span.
